SUMMARY:‘The Million Month’ Prayer and Worship Evening in the Parish Hall
DESCRIPTION:International Evangelistic Street Mission “The Million Month” Comes to Pärnu in July\nFrom 20 to 31 July 2026\, the international movement Awakening Europe will hold its evangelistic street mission “The Million Month” in Pärnu. Pärnu is one of the cities visited by this Europe-wide initiative\, which calls Christians to share the gospel\, pray and bear witness together. \nThe organisers highlight Pärnu as Estonia’s summer capital\, a seaside resort\, and the place where Estonian independence was first proclaimed in 1918. They see Pärnu as having special significance as a city where freedom was proclaimed; this time\, they wish to share the message of the freedom that Christians understand through the gospel. \nThe Pärnu programme centres on street evangelism in different parts of the city and on shared evenings of prayer and worship. During the day\, participants will spend a few hours on the streets sharing the gospel\, praying for people and meeting them in public spaces. The programme also includes breaks\, gatherings\, prayer\, worship and the sharing of testimonies. \nThe opening gathering will be held at Pärnu Salem Church on Monday\, 20 July\, from 7 to 9 pm. On the following days\, street evangelism gatherings will take place near Tallinn Gate\, Port Artur\, Youth Square\, Pärnu’s outdoor market and the beach. Prayer and worship evenings are planned for 23\, 27 and 31 July. The first will be held in the parish hall of St Elizabeth’s Church on 23 July at 7 pm. \nYou are welcome to participate on every day or on individual days\, as your circumstances allow. \nFurther information and the Pärnu programme are available on the event website: The Million Month 2026 – Pärnu.

She has given solo recitals in Estonia\, Finland\, Sweden\, the Netherlands\, Russia and Germany and\, alongside the core classical repertoire\, has performed a great deal of Estonian music. Her collaboration with Nata-Ly Sakkos resulted in the CD Poème d’amour. \nFor twenty years\, the Baroque violin has been Leena Laas’s passion. She completed a second master’s degree at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre\, specialising in Baroque violin in the Early Music Performance programme\, and has fully mastered the instrument’s distinctive technique. Alongside her active performing career\, she teaches violin\, has led masterclasses in Kokkola\, Finland\, and Stockholm\, Sweden\, and works as a violin teacher at Keila and Nõmme music schools. \nAULI TEPPO – One of the most outstanding pianists of Estonia’s younger generation\, she became widely known through the first season of the popular television competition Classical Stars. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra\, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Symphony Orchestra\, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra\, Narva City Symphony Orchestra and the West Estonian Islands Chamber Orchestra. \nShe has performed in Austria\, Italy\, Switzerland\, Portugal\, Poland\, Russia and the United States. An active chamber musician\, she also frequently performs with opera singers. In the Tallinn Philharmonic and Tallinn Dance Theatre production Icons/Pärt\, most recently presented in New York\, she performed Arvo Pärt’s complete piano music. \nLILIA MÄRTMAA and DENISS VINOGRADOV – Founders of the Healing Sounds Centre HelideLab\, multi-instrumentalists\, sound therapists and educators who promote sound therapy.
