Today Jüri Trei, chairman of the Estonian Flag Society, installed a photographic exhibition at St Elizabeth’s Church offering a view of the history of Victory Day celebrations in Estonia since the restoration of independence.

The exhibition is a beautiful introduction to the forthcoming celebrations. Special attention is given to Pärnu, which is hosting the Victory Day parade for the fifth time this year, following earlier parades in 1939, 1995, 2001 and 2012.
The parade will be preceded by an ecumenical service at St Elizabeth’s Church on Victory Day morning, 23 June at 10:00. Bishop Anti Toplaan will preach. Dean Toomas Nigola, Peeter Paenurm, Chief Chaplain of the Estonian Defence League, and several ecumenical guests will also serve. Pildiraadio will broadcast the service.
Let us celebrate together this important day for the Estonian state and people!
