Jesus Christ calls you
Christian faith begins with good news: Jesus Christ died and rose again for us. Through him God forgives sins, reconciles us to himself, and gives new life and hope. We do not become Christians because we have achieved something or already put our lives in order. Christ calls people to himself as they are.
Repentance, faith and Baptism
God calls us to repentance and faith: to turn to him, trust Christ’s promise, and receive his forgiveness. In Baptism God acts: he unites a person with Christ, forgives sins, and receives that person among his people. Read more on the page Baptism.
For an adult, Baptism is normally preceded by instruction that opens up the Christian faith and the meaning of Baptism. It is not an entrance examination or a condition for receiving God’s grace, but an opportunity to learn and grow in faith with the congregation.
