It is the penultimate Sunday before the beginning of Lent. Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work” (John 4:34). The Letter to the Hebrews, quoting the Old Testament Psalter, says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” (Hebrews 3:15)
These words sound like an alarm clock—and perhaps that is precisely what we sometimes need in our spiritual life. On the threshold of Lent, we ask: what truly nourishes me? Is it the will of God and service to my neighbour, or my own worries, resentment and comfort; the shallow entertainment of a passing world, or something similar?
Jesus Christ awaits you at Holy Mass today at 10:00! Our feast at the table of spiritual nourishment will be followed by coffee in the confirmation hall and Sunday school for children on the second floor of the parish house. See you at church!
