International Evangelistic Street Mission “The Million Month” Comes to Pärnu in July

From 20 to 31 July 2026, the international movement Awakening Europe will hold its evangelistic street mission “The Million Month” in Pärnu. Pärnu is one of the cities visited by this Europe-wide initiative, which calls Christians to share the gospel, pray and bear witness together.

The organisers highlight Pärnu as Estonia’s summer capital, a seaside resort, and the place where Estonian independence was first proclaimed in 1918. They see Pärnu as having special significance as a city where freedom was proclaimed; this time, they wish to share the message of the freedom that Christians understand through the gospel.

The Pärnu programme centres on street evangelism in different parts of the city and on shared evenings of prayer and worship. During the day, participants will spend a few hours on the streets sharing the gospel, praying for people and meeting them in public spaces. The programme also includes breaks, gatherings, prayer, worship and the sharing of testimonies.

The opening gathering will be held at Pärnu Salem Church on Monday, 20 July, from 7 to 9 pm. On the following days, street evangelism gatherings will take place near Tallinn Gate, Port Artur, Youth Square, Pärnu’s outdoor market and the beach. Prayer and worship evenings are planned for 23, 27 and 31 July. The first will be held in the parish hall of St Elizabeth’s Church on 23 July at 7 pm.
