First Aid Training Held for Parish Volunteers

On Saturday, 30 May, a first-aid course was held in the confirmation hall of St Elizabeth’s Church for staff and volunteers from parishes in Pärnu and the surrounding area.

The instructor was Jana Ristimets, chair of the supervisory board of Pärnu Hospital Foundation. She gave participants a thorough introduction to essential first-aid techniques and responding to emergencies. During the intensive training day, topics ranged from communicating with the Emergency Response Centre to recognising the symptoms of heart attack and stroke and providing life-saving first aid.

The course helped parish workers and volunteers acquire knowledge and skills that may prove invaluable in church, at parish events and in everyday life.

The electoral alliance Südamega Pärnu helped organise the training day. Our heartfelt thanks!
